    Thanks for the links on IE Hacks. Good to know. I do have one question on Blessing’s article: Do IE6 and earlier not recognize child selectors? Is this the whole premise of the non-hack? Thanks!

      Internet Explorer up to and including version 6 has incomplete support for CSS 2.1 selectors. The following are unsupported or problematic:

      * Child selectors
      * Adjacent sibling selectors
      * Attribute selectors
      * Multiple class selectors
      * The :first-child pseudo-class
      * The language pseudo-class
      * The :before and :after pseudo-elements
      * The :hover pseudo-class only works on a elements
      * The :focus pseudo-class isn’t supported. For a elements that have focus, the :active pseudo-class is applied.

      The website does not have to exactly the same on each browser. So you would code around this, E.g. an IE6 specific stylesheet, or just not have that feature in IE6.
